Family Judo is becoming FUNdamentals Judo
Ishikawa Judo Club has an update on Family Judo: the program has a new name, a couple of changes, and a return date.
Starting September 6, 2026, the class will be called FUNdamentals Judo. The fee stays at $25 a month and it still meets Sunday afternoons at the dojo. The age range is widening to 6 to 10, and parent participation is no longer required. We may still ask a parent to join in if there’s a need, and parents are asked to stay on-site during class.
The new name fits what the class has always done: build the fundamentals, body awareness, technique, and the habits that come from training alongside a group.
FUNdamentals Judo is still a waitlist program. Families already on the list will be contacted in order as spots open. If you’d like to be added, reach out through the Contact page.
